Phone screen where the recruiter showered my experience with compliments and confirmed there seemed to be a match with my background. Then ghosted with no real explanation for a week before a boilerplate rejection email. Ironic because I was told the team is "very into communication," which in hindsight sounds like a euphemism for micromanagement.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Zola (New York, NY) in Jan 2021
Interview
While everyone I spoke with was pleasant they seem disorganized in the process. The take home excel test was lengthy and required a lot effort so early in the interview process. I also spent several hours interviewing via video in addition to the test. The position has been open for several months so it seems they are either being very picky in hiring a candidate or just dragging their feet.

What do you think makes a good marketer vs great marketer?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Zola (New York, NY) in Nov 2020
Interview
The people were very friendly and nice with typical interview questions for this type of role. I thought everything was going fantastically, especially because I met with 6 different team members + had 2 HR interviews. So 8 different interviews/calls/zooms and then a few days later after following up, I get an automated DO NOT REPLY email from them. This is horrible to do to candidates. The least you can do is send a personal note or give us a call after making us spend hours and hours talking to 7 different people through multiple rounds and weeks. Says a lot about your culture...
