I applied online through LinkedIn then received an email from the recruiter to schedule a recruiter screen. The recruiter screen took place at night due to the 15 hour time difference between Dallas & Australia. I was then scheduled for a virtual interview with the Head of Sales Development, which went well & I received great feedback. I then moved forward to interview with the CRO, which was by far the worst experience. His passive aggressive tone & lack of preparation made the interview dreadful. He didnt even review my resume or LinkedIn profile until during the interview & interrogated me as if I had to prove something to him. I’m quite aware the company was burned with the prior hire they hired who had ZERO experience but its truly unfair. However, I was somehow moved to the final step which required me to come onsite to meet with two of their SDRs (“managers”) who had only been with the company for 2-5 months. Not to add I had to pay for parking just to interview with them two. They didn't even offer any type of reimbursement! No candidate should EVER have to pay to come for an interview, lesson learned. During the interview, one was engaged whereas the other acted like he had some where else to be. This was very off putting but I looked past it. I even gave them advice on tools to use to assist them YET it wasnt enough they say. Anyhow, I sent a follow-up & expected to move forward but the recruiter sent a long email explaining to me why they werent moving forward. I would like to think they couldve made that decision after round one versus wasting my time, money & effort four rounds later.
Overall, my experience with the recruiter was great but my overall experience with the company as a whole was horrible & a complete waste of my time. After being laid off for the 3rd time in my career & going through 4 rounds of interview with this company just to get a crazy rejection is beyond me. I hope the next people they take through the process dont experience what I did & take my experience as a heads up.
