I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at iCIMS in Dec 2018

      Interview

To my disappoint, the recruitment process by a proclaimed leader in talent acquisition and management does not ensure a good experience! Initial screening call with recruiter followed by a timed logic & reasoning assessment and an untimed personality assessment, both of which required you to video yourself while completing for the alledged purpose of proctoring to ensure completion without help. I believe the video proctoring is really just an early process opportunity for iCIMS to see if you fit their beauty and age preferences for candidates. I have to agree with an earlier candidate's Glassdoor review that if you are over 50, don't bother! The assessments themselves were not overly difficult. I was told following this step that although my qualifications & experience were impressive, the hiring manager had elected to move forward with other candidates. My assigned recruiter told me she was interested in working with me in the future on other opportunities. When asked for feedback to improve and an idea of my assessment performance, no feedback was given and I was told they do not divulge assessment performance. Of course not if you're screen age. When asked if I was a fit for, and should consider applying to several other sales roles actively being recruited for, my recruiter went dark. I applied anyway and new screening interview calls followed for 2 other roles by different internal recruiters which had no record or idea of my past interactions. Great conversations with adjectives used to describe my answers to their questions such as "Perfect Answer", "Exactly", "Right on the Money", etc. One call even resulted in the recruiter changing my candidacy into a more senior role. Same result following each time my candidacy hit the next and different recruiter step. Lot's of unfortunate wasted time for both iCIMS and myself due to my original recruiters direct lack of transparency, communication, and lack of respect for me as a candidate. Confusion and lack of internal knowledge and collaboration of my candidacy experiences and history among their recruiters were also alarming and disappointing. Finally, although I remained "Under Review" in their talent portal for 2 roles, I withdrew given my reconsideration after these experiences.

We are sorry to hear that you did not have a positive candidate experience while applying to iCIMS. Candidate experience is very important to us. Our talent acquisition professionals and hiring managers seek to identify top talent for all of our available opportunities, and value learning about candidates’ skills, interests, and experience. We do utilize assessments as one part of overall our application process. The video portion you mentioned is used solely to proctor the cognitive assessment and ensure the integrity of the process. The video is not, in any way, used in the manner you have implied. iCIMS is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status or any other characteristic protected by law.

      Interview

I have had the pleasure of interviewing with iCIMS several times throughout my career and each interaction has exemplified what a recruitment process should be. They move with momentum, are quick and generous with feedback if things are going well, or if the cycle is coming to a close and why. The recruiting team works tightly together and they share information across the team so you don't have to start over and have the same conversations multiple times. They remember you. You are not just a number, they build relationships within their pipelines and they believe in the value of silver medalists candidates and will reconnect with you if there is another opportunity that might be a better fit down the road. The process moved swiftly and the expectations they set were delivered upon, if not exceeded. The conversations I had across the organization were candid, meaningful, not just check the box interview questions or "gotchas" to try to make things intentionally harder, they were relevant. You can feel the culture within each person you speak with and it makes you want the opportunity even more. As you can see, I can't say enough good things about the level of professionalism and excitement generated throughout their recruitment cycle and I'm thankful to be joining this stellar organization that clearly delivers a great recruitment experience. I can't wait to share this with customers!

      Interview

My iCIMS interview experience was tremendous. We moved quickly and methodically and were able to determine that it was a great fit. Talent Sourcing Specialist > Talent Acquisition Specialist > RVP > RVP> VP > SVP. Everybody was direct and friendly. It was apparent that they were evaluating the best interests of both parties.

      Interview

The interview process took about 6 weeks and there was constant communication. As expected with a well-respected company, the interview process was challenging but extremely rewarding. It began with an initial conversation and screening from a Talent Acquisition Specialist. After the initial screening, I had to take an IQ exam and personality test. Next were multiple interviews with Managers, RVP, and VP of Sales for the Division. Everyone was kind, respectful, and allowed me to explain why I would be a great fit not only for the role, but for the iCIMS organization as well. A few days after my last interview, the TA Specialist who handled my entire interview process called me to inform me that they wanted to offer me the position which I accepted.
