As a jobseeker, I feel compelled to share my deep disappointment and frustration with the way the recruitment process was handled by BB Capital Sdn Bhd (instaDuit) for Loan Collection Officer position.
I attended three rounds of interviews, came fully prepared, and gave my full effort. Throughout the process, I was clearly informed both verbally and via WhatsApp that the basic salary range was RM 3,500 to RM 4,000. I was even asked by the recruiter if I would be okay with RM 4,500 as my expected salary.
However, after all that, the offer I received was RM 3,000 basic , the same amount I earned in my first job years ago. The company then tried to justify it by including small allowances and vague “performance-based incentives” with no guaranteed structure.
Let’s be honest: basic salary matters most not add-ons that are not guaranteed. Banks, housing loans, and financial assessments are based on basic pay, not hopeful incentive estimates.
This kind of bait-and-switch tactic is highly unethical. If the actual salary had been clearly stated from the beginning, I would not have even attended the interview. But instead, my time, effort and trust were wasted.
This experience was misleading , disappointing, and frankly disrespectful. It highlights a serious lack of transparency in the hiring process.
Jobseekers deserve honesty, clear communication, and respect for their time and experience. I sincerely hope the company takes this feedback seriously and improves how they treat candidates moving forward.
I hope others are cautious when dealing with this company.
