Your new role:
We are seeking motivated Clinical Coders for a talent pool across Metro South Health. Roles ensure accurate, timely inpatient coding supporting Queensland Health reporting, ABF and data quality.
Clinical Coders perform coding, documentation queries, verification and quality activities. Advanced Clinical Coders also audit, mentor, coordinate quality programs and provide DRG and coding standards advice supporting ABF.
About you:
You are a motivated Clinical Coding professional with strong ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS knowledge and commitment to accurate health information outcomes within complex healthcare environments.
For Clinical Coders: experience in coding across specialties, DRG and ABF knowledge.
Advanced Clinical Coders also provide auditing, mentoring, quality improvement, and expert advice on DRG, standards and ABF impacts
Both roles require strong communication, prioritisation, continuous improvement, and proficiency in health systems, Microsoft Office, coding systems and other clinical coding software, with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams delivering high-quality, compliant data outcomes.

The Process
This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future casual, permanent and temporary employment opportunities.
