Regarded as one of Australia's leading multi-stream electrical engineering consultancies, PE offers deep expertise and experience across renewable energy, transport, mining, defence, heavy industry materials processing and property.
Our story
The PE story began in 2001 when founder Mark Giacoppo joined forces with a former colleague from BHP Engineering to embark on a new business joint venture.
After forming a strategic partnership with EJ Reynolds, where the business consulted to the minerals and heavy industry materials processing sectors, PE then refocused its efforts to transport, gaining significant experience in modelling Heavy Rail DC traction systems. During this time, Mark supported RailCorp as Principal Engineer Power Systems, modelling the entire Sydney Trains DC and high voltage AC traction system.
After five years with RailCorp, Mark moved back into a full time role with PE. The business grew its engineering team, diversified its service offering and expanded into new sectors, including light rail, renewable energy, defence, data centres, aviation and property.
In 2021 Rob Smerdon joined the business as part of a consolidated leadership team. Now, backed by a team of industry-leading engineering experts, PE is at the start of an exciting new chapter, pushing for the highest standards of quality and delivery, today, tomorrow and into the future.
Our directors are industry leaders who prioritise helping our clients reach new levels in electrical engineering excellence.
