COBL sees more than 40,000 people every year for screening, diagnosis or treatment, using the latest technology in a modern, purpose-built cancer hospital.
Our specialists take part in multidisciplinary teams of surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, psychologists and researchers to provide peer-reviewed, tailored, individualised treatment to patients.
COBL is also New South Wales’ and one of Australia’s biggest cancer clinical trials centres, giving our patients access to the world’s newest cancer breakthroughs.
We offer New Graduate placements in our Acute Surgical, Medical Oncology. The program includes supernumerary time at commencement, New Graduate peer support meetings and paid study days over the year.

The selection criteria are listed below.
Applicants must successfully complete their study and be eligible to register with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia (AHPRA). Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of vaccinations and provide a valid police check. You must also meet the following requirements:
- Be available to undertake 24 months’ employment (72 hrs/fn)
- Hold Right to work in Australia for the duration of the program. There is no sponsorship available for student visa holders.
- Display effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate professional accountability for own actions
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development
- Previous AIN experience or have undertaken placement in oncology
