American Innovations (AI) develops software that petroleum, water, and natural gas pipeline operators use to manage functions such as risk assessment and corrosion data analysis. Its services include Web-based remote monitoring and control, automatic meter reading, and alarm point monitoring. The company made several acquisitions in its 20-plus-years history; in 2008 AI bought the assets of Intelek, which made remote monitoring instruments for clients in agriculture, oil and gas, and public utilities. American Innovations is based in Texas and has an office in Colorado, as well. AI is a subsidiary of HM International, LLC (HMI), an investment holding company.
