Cisneros Group of Companies is a leading diversified holding company with interests in Latin American entertainment and leisure. Its holdings include a stake in pay-TV operator Claxson Interactive (DMX Latin America, Playboy TV Latin America), Venezuelan TV network Venevisión, and baseball team Los Leones del Caracas. It also owns beer maker Cervecería Regional and travel agency Saeca, as well as rights to the Miss Venezuela beauty contest. Other interests include telecommunications firms Americatel (long distance telephone service in Venezuela) and LatCel (mobile communications services). The family-owned holding company traces its roots to a transportation business started in 1929 by Diego Cisneros.
