It also operates 3,400 gas stations. GS Caltex operates a gas utility and is a major importer of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The company also has oil exploration, shipping, and electric power interests. GS Caltex was set up in 1967 as a joint venture of Lucky Ltd. (a predecessor of Korea's LG Group) and Caltex.
