Building on our heritage and having confidence in the future, GVEC is a team of professionals committed to exceeding expectations by identifying and investing in products and services that empower the people and communities we serve.
Established as the Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative (now known simply as GVEC) in 1938, our founders recognized the need to bring electricity to the rural areas where they lived and worked. They refused to be left in the dark and realized the value of welcoming innovation into their homes and businesses.
Today, GVEC is a cooperative that continues leading the way in innovation by providing electric, internet and beyond the meter services to the areas we serve. We’ve grown from providing power for 150 members to serving the more diverse needs of over 100,000 consumers in South Central Texas. Along with dependable electricity for our members, we offer high-speed wireless and fiber internet, renewable solar energy and battery storage options, electrician services, and reliable AC/heating sales and service.
We believe that success in our mission to exceed the expectations of customers depends heavily on having the right people on our team. With this in mind, we seek talented professionals interested in providing value for their customers and coworkers. GVEC wants team members who can deliver the unexpected through attitude, results, and a willingness to continuously develop themselves, their department, and our organization.
