Got in touch with TA for potential marketing opportunities and had a good chat. Was told they will get back with next steps and chat with hiring manager. Finally had feedback after three weeks- was the same old ‘you have great skills but we sell candy, so we need candy experience’. I find this hiring practice seriously regressive and detrimental to the industry. Hire for skills and culture fit- looking for cookie cutter clones is only going to get you so far. I find it arrogant of a company to assume an outsider cannot come in and offer them new perspectives or learn the industry in a few weeks.InterviewGeneral background- skills and experience
