Oil Refineries Snapshot
Oil Refineries is the only company in Israel that refines crude oil, processes petroleum products (gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, fuel oil, and more), and supplies feedstock products to the petrochemical industry. The company's Haifa refinery (the largest in Israel) has a capacity of producing 9.8 million tons of crude oil per year. In 2008 Oil Refineries acquired 31% of Mercury Aviation (Israel) Ltd, its first move into the fuel products infrastructure market. Oil Refineries was formerly controlled by the government of Israel. Offer Bros.' subsidiary Israel Corporation owns 37% of the company; Israel Petrochemical Enterprises, 31%.
