The company makes flak jackets and other bullet-resistant vests and body armor through its Point Blank Body Armor (PBBA) and Protective Apparel Corporation of America (PACA) subsidiaries. Point Blank produces both concealable and tactical (worn over clothes) armor. Sales to the US military and federal law enforcement agencies account for some 60% of the company's business. In April 2010 Point Blank and its subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It subsequently announced an asset purchase agreement, under which private equity firm The Gores Group would purchase all of Point Blank assets.
