Premier Power sets the stage for power generation in Northern Ireland and Eire. The independent power producer, an operating subsidiary of BG Group, manages the largest generation facility in Northern Ireland. Its Ballylumford Power Station is a fossil-fueled plant with 1,300 MW of capacity. One of the largest power stations on the island of Ireland, it provides over 50% of Northern Ireland's total generating capacity, and approximately 17% of the all-Ireland capacity. The company sells most of its energy to distribution utility Northern Ireland Electricity.
