SR Telecom Snapshot
SR Telecom has set its sights on WiMAX (broadband wireless access systems). The company manufactures wireless network infrastructure equipment used by telecommunications service carriers to provide voice and data connections to their subscribers. Its products include central office systems, wireless base stations, and signal repeaters. SR Telecom, which also provides network design, installation, and project management services, serves such customers as independent service providers and small businesses. Siemens S.A., Techtel-LMS Comunicaciones (a subsidiary of Carso Global Telecom), and Axtel have been among its top clients. DDJ Capital Management owns 35% of the company.
