United Refining Company refines and markets petroleum products in the northeastern US. The company, which serves about 370 gas stations, is the refining unit of John Catsimatidis' diversified Red Apple Group, which also operates the Gristede's Foods supermarket chain. The company owns a 70,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Warren, Pennsylvania, which produces various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, No. 2 heating oil, and asphalt. United Refining's retail segment sells petroleum products under the Kwik Fill, CITGO, and Keystone brands, and sells convenience and grocery items through company-owned gas stations/convenience stores that operate under the Red Apple Food Mart and Country Fair brands.
