Mission WeKare Disability Support Services (WDSS) is a Registered NDIS Service Provider committed to empowering individuals with disabilities, along with their families and carers. Our mission is to support people of all abilities to live independently and with dignity, respecting their rights, goals, and aspirations. Our person-centred approach places clients at the heart of decision-making, ensuring services are tailored to individual needs and preferences. WeKare collaborates with a network of community partners, including Local Area Coordinators and allied health professionals, to deliver seamless and effective support. By focusing on the eight domains of the NDIS framework Daily Living, Home, Health and Wellbeing, Lifelong Learning, Work, Social and Community Participation, Relationships, and Choice and Control we strive to enhance the quality of life for our participants across all life stages.
Description Operating across Victoria, Alice Springs, Tasmania, and Western Australia, WeKare offers a comprehensive range of NDIS services, including: • Support Coordination (Social Work): Assisting participants in understanding and implementing their NDIS plans. • Community Participation: Encouraging engagement in social and community activities. • In-Home Support: Assisting with daily living tasks to promote independence. • Accommodation Services: Offering short-term, medium-term, and Supported Independent Living options. • Allied Health Connections: Facilitating access to allied health services. While we are currently in the recruitment process to bring occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physiotherapists into our team, in the interim, we are seeking social work expertise to assist with comprehensive client assessments, behavioural support planning, and coordination of services, ensuring participants’ needs are met holistically until our expanded allied health team is fully established. The social work role is a permanent and ongoing position within our organisation, providing continuity of care and ensuring that as our allied health team expands, participants continue to receive consistent, high-quality support.
