Pros

Well air conditioned. Plenty of bathrooms. Direct deposit available. Really great Halloween Parties. If you're a Trump person, you're gonna have an easy go of it here! Very Trump friendly leadership in all departments including creative.

Cons

1. Dishonest CEO who reneges on promises, and justifies it as "executive privilege." How is there any solid ground when the guy running the company can't be taken at his word? How does anything get done when deals are broken because "you're the boss?" 2. An account-driven shop. No creatives in the leadership inner circle. The CEO thinks advertising is about relationships. I think clients are more interested in results. 3. Creative is more a necessary evil than an asset. Management has no understanding of how creative teams work, or their value to advertising agencies. 4. Heavy investment in analytics while laying off the people who make the things to be analyzed.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your comments and concerns. All of our team members, past and present, are welcome to share their feedback in this forum as well as directly with us. We would never contribute an inauthentic review on this site or any other. It is disappointing you have this perception, and we would invite anyone who is interested in working with our agency to see for themselves the creative, engaging and good-hearted environment that makes &Barr successful.

Pros

Location is cool. Dogs are cool. &Barr is a well-known name (in Orlando). A good chunk of the people are (or at least were) cool. The agency did some cool work at times. And I got paid, which was very cool.

Cons

I was torn over whether or not to write this. On the one hand, I don't really care about &Barr or what's happening there—almost everyone I liked has moved on (either of their own volition or otherwise). However, all these over-the-top positive reviews are weird, and chalking up the negative ones as "just rants from bitter past employees" isn't accurate either. So, as a non-bitter past employee, I can attest that the negative reviews here hold water. I'm not saying "run, don't walk!!!" but I wouldn't recommend &Barr to a friend either—maybe just to someone I don't know very well. Why should you believe me? Because I don't care enough to lie.

Pros

There are no pros except there are some good people who cycle through there constantly. Every couple of years theres a new batch. They can't keep anyone good. That's why there is so much turnover. Like crazy turnover.

Cons

So many cons. In fact the agency is one big con. This is an agency that is stuck in the past. It doesn't matter how many good people they bring in. Or how many monitors they put on a wall to display analytics. Good teams in every department end up leaving. Each person arrives thinking they are going to make a difference or change things. But then a couple of years go by, or in some cases mere months, and everyone is disillusioned. They realize the management is incompetent, the agency is not going to change and they move on. Or get layed off when the CEO has to make his numbers so he can please the "board" made up of his dad and brother. The entire executive team should be fired or just retire already! Take a look at their website and see how many old AF white guys are running the place. How about some diversity? Or old white women who haven't worked anywhere else or have a bad reputation for being the worst account people in Orlando. Ask around at other agencies. All the good people and anything good about this place has pretty much left the building. &Barr is being run into the ground by the management until the owners retire. Hard pass.
