Women can't have it all...
Pros
Some incredibly talented individuals and wonderful team players make this a fun, lively and fast paced place to work. You will be well looked after with all the little luxuries that come with working for an agency. The clients and projects are awesome, the creativity that comes from the studio and the dedication from the producers make for some truly fun things to work on. Lots of travel. The client experience team are a blast to work with and will have your back.
Cons
Nothing you do will ever get past 75% done until someone gets bored of that and moves you on to the next big thing. If you do get to finish your work, it will sit in 'pending approval' for ever more because the seniors approving are too busy. Poor leadership planning can mean you are expected to travel with 24-48 hrs notice. SO much drama and gossip, whispering and secret squirrel all day every day. Felt exciting at first, quickly becomes tiring and unnerving. You will be charmed into the family-friendly vibe and repeatedly told that "...over 50% of the employees are parents", only to be told by the MD (a women) that women cannot have it all (quote) and the reality is, nothing about this place actually allows for a fair work life balance. There is vey little trust or autonomy. Working from home is not in the natural DNA. You will be expected to work 16 hour days, but be called out for turning up the office at 9:05. You will be gaslit. repeatedly. SMT will spend the majority of the profits on their flight upgrades before that becomes an employee benefit that hits your pocket. Sadly, I had a terrible experience here and have been left with a very bitter taste. This was my dream job and some very wonderful, talented people make it a great place to work, your experience maybe different but there is a reason this role has been unsuccessfully filled five times!
