WORST JOB EVER IN MY LIFE BARF

Pros

Only the clientele and some friends that I have made some were fake

The owner starts off extremely nice and acts like your best friend then she completely switches the moment you do anything wrong even making a small mistake… even though you just started She picks favorites and then talks crap with them over the phone the owner acts like a 21 year old girl And bullies her employees by making them cry and feel insecure she will tell you that you’re a slow learner she will tell you how unconfident you are and that you took a learning curve even though you have only been there for 3 months basically trained 3 positions THAT WERE NOT EVEN IN THE JOB DESCRIPTION she has a you break it you buy it rule so you’re constantly freaking out about using any of the material … has a Involuntary and voluntary contract for 1400 but only makes some people pay mostly the people that stood up to her because after I left I contacted former employees and sure enough they didn’t have to pay or get their paycheck taken but i did … The owner is not a good person I told her how behind I was on rent she had no empathy for me and still took my pay check since I was in a two year contract ( but like I said she only makes people she wants to pay it) she watches you over the cameras basically training you over the cameras if you take a phone call she will call you and ask about it after listening in it’s actually so uncomfortable to work there because she listens to your conversations and gets mad if you don’t wanna be a pushy annoying sales woman ( every client of mine said that she was annoying and pushy ) I’m not going to make people uncomfortable when they don’t want a membership BUT SHE WILL MAKE YOU OR THREATEN TO CUT YOUR HOURS she gives you a free product if you write a good review on glass door since her reviews are trash she will call and bully you over the phone and when you ask to talk in person she will say no which is so childish … the 2nd time she called me after driving 50 min into work to go off on me and tell me to leave i finally stood up to her then she got offended that i told her i dont appreciate getting talked down on and bullied over the phone. Then she said she didn't like my sour attitude. then said if you feel like I'm attacking you I'm not which I explained I do feel that I have been attacked over the phone. and she responded with you took it that way. I finally stopped answering phone calls so that I could make sure that I have text message proof of how she responds because I was tired of getting bullied over a phone. Which, of course she never responded then since the fake text message talking about, she would love to keep me on the family and friends plan like I would ever come back and support her business or show my face and a place that I was completely talk down on she also will tell you who she would plan on to fire … after our argument over the phone she called a coworker that was the same age as me told her that I pissed her off and ruined her day as well as TALKED BACK TO HER AS IF SHE WAS MY MOM and to look up how much I have made in sells and then said I only made $200 which was told in front of multiple of my coworkers which was none of their business and second of a all she went that far ? gross I had sold a good amount in products almost $800 and a month sold her scam of the memberships sold packages i have worked at a luxury spa and resort highest sales rank basically ran the salon by myself and the ways she runs her business changes every day. There are so many small things that you have to watch or you will be in trouble. If you don't put a credit card on file, she'll threaten that you have to put a credit card on file and pay for the service if you don't. if you misinform a customer on any information, she will call you and personally go off on you while you're on the clock at work. The person that is supposed to be training you will not even train you. I had to ask every single question myself when it came down to learning the computer material she will make you feel stupid in front of multiple people are. I have never left a job every single day pissed off, crying, ranting, and saying that I hated my life because of how unhappy I was to work somewhere but I needed to pay rent which I was behind three months of rent because it was only $10 an hour until you were a spray tan technician so you will not get a decent paycheck until three months in your paychecks for three months will be $300 or less . I am 21 years old have bills to pay and couldn't even put food in my mouth, it's sad that you would think the owner of a salon that you're helping run would treat you better and want to make sure that you have food on your mouth and a roof over your head. I will never ever work for somebody like that again. all the girls said she will make you realize things in a work environment and make you feel so confident which was a lie The only thing the owner taught me was that I would never run a business the way she does. I would never treat my employees the way she does. I would never tell another woman how un confident they are. She is not a person that will make you feel goodnshe's all about good vibes and it's all a lie I was so unconfident in that workspace because of how scared I was to mess up the former employees have also mention things that I feel were so unacceptable to be an owner and talking down to someone like that especially 20 years younger also if your car breaks down she expects you to " get an uber " with the $10 an hour as well as when you live 45 min away.

Pros

Free spray tans and most services, discounts on the products and other stuff. Tips and commission too (but you don’t make it for a long time)

Airbrush technician training is about $1400 to get certified and they make you pay the full amount if you don’t commit to staying with the company for at least 2 years Has a “you break it you buy it” rule on stuff so you’re always feeling scared to use anything around there In case something goes wrong They literally train you to be fake. Teach you things in training like “filler words” and to compliment each person at least 3 times while they are there, or else you’re giving the bad customer service and get mad with you over it I signed up to be a spray tan tech but part of the job too is having to do their other services like body wraps and saunas for people which means you could lose out on a paying client that’ll tip you Low ball starting salary of just $10. Job posting says $15-22 but they don’t ever pay you that they just expect you to make that in tips Horrible sales strategies they offer and practice. Only come in expecting to make commission if you have previous successful sales experience. You only make commission at all if you sell at least 10 memberships meaning if you sell 8 or 9 you don’t make any of the money on it or even the products you sell

Audio and video recording at all times, bad smells, pushed very hard to make sales, must buy your own gloves, encouraged to be very fake, no commission for a long time
