Pros
Able to work remotely at times. Ok benefits (health)
Cons
Because we were able to work remotely we were often times pressured into working overtime consistently with no compensation. There was no training in any shape or form. And the people I would ask questions would usually not bother to answer me directly for hours if not days. Usually I would hear their answer through a grapevine. PTO was set on an accrual system. Which would have been fine if sick days were separately alloted. Boundaries between work and life were not always respected as upper management would repeatedly reach out via personal devices late into the evenings, usually proposing new tasks or projects for the next day last minute. Had to use personal devices for work. (Laptop and phones) Upper management would constantly speak poorly of other employees behind their backs. Did not feel like a safe or trusting environment to work in. PTO taken for sick days were not respected either by other employees as they would still reach out to either ask questions about a project or ask on the (same day I called out sick) when I would be back online, which actually made it harder to recover. All of this felt hypocritical to me as the company statement to their workforce places emphasis on prioritizing physical and mental health.
