Pros

The only case that I would suggest you to work for this company is that you really can't find anything else.

Cons

PAY: As fresh grad you’ll only get paid at $15/hr ($31,285/yr). That is way below the industrial standard for civil engineers, especially in NYC. In NYC, fresh grad civil engineers normally get paid $50,000 - $60,000. If you google “New York State's Minimum Wage”, it’s already $15 in NYC even if you work in the fast food industry. WORKING CONDITION: There are surveillance cameras installed in the office to watch you from all angles. Expect lots of construction site inspections during the weekdays and the weekends as that’s the core business. This is not the place if you want to learn engineering design, and you won’t end up with much engineering experience to put on you resume. VISA SPONSORSHIP: And the real nasty experience begins when you get approved for H1B. To prevent you from quitting, the company will force you to pay them $10,000 as deposit before issuing you the H1B. You have to sign a contract to promise them not to leave the company for the next 2 years, otherwise they’ll take away the $10,000 of yours. If you don’t signed this agreement with them, then they’ll you form getting the H1B and probably fire you. Remember, you only get paid $15/hr and making $31,285 a year. They will take away your $10,000, and take away your opportunity of getting paid fairly at $60,000/yr in NYC for the next 2 years.
