Horrible Experience!

Pros

None for me. See below.

Cons

Personally for me, I accepted the job offer because based on the interview, I thought I would be working with loyal people who care for the growth and development of their employees. Instead, what I found was that my manager expected me to know how to do my job without any training or support. Despite that, I genuinely tried to do my job to the best of my ability. In my interim review, I was told I was awesome and that they couldn't be happier with my progress. The only thing said that wasn't exactly positive was that by my 1 year mark, I should be able to independently complete my deliverables without them having to be reviewed. Before I had the chance to show them that I could work independently, less than a month later, I was let go. I was told I was not a fit for that company and that I had to leave the next day. How nice of them to give me a one day notice and 5 days pay afterwards...which coincidentally turned out to be the vacation days I accrued and never took. No additional severance at all. But that's not even the worst part....the part that hurt most was getting no warning at all and having my manager pretend like everything was going okay. Isn't it the managers job to, hmmm, I don't know....MANAGE?!

Low morale and poor leaders

Pros

Some of the people are wonderful! Work 40-hours and don't look back. No need to be on-call all of the time.

Cons

8 people have quit in less than a year. For a small company of about 65, it's affecting morale terribly. . Management ignores the issues. Clique-ish particularly among the top 5 people in the Company. No room for advancement despite claims. People are forced to do tasks that are way below their skills and experience and without a voice. It's a sad place to be.

Pros

They pay on time; office is air-conditioned, well lit, secure and with plenty of parking onsite.

Cons

They will take their errors and mistakes and will turn them into your own and then they will fire you in an effort to resolve them. Management is ignorant and oblivious of reality and living in a state of blissful yet wishful thinking that they try to resolve with staffing solutions. A family firm with bleak future and even more inexplicably deplorable performance, this hypocritical bunch of inept paper-pushers will let you down when you least expect it. And they expect you will let them down, and believe me, you will. If you stayed there with them, you have issues. If you are considering adding them to your career, think twice. At the end of this torment you will want to erase this experience from your resume.
