Pros

Met some great people in the company. Benefits were fine, pretty standard.

Cons

5 PTO days AFTER one year of employment. So 365 days without a paid day off. Everyone is looking out for themselves, so don't expect to get help from the majority of your coworkers. Their culture, oh their culture, they preach so heavily about how wonderful it is - is non-existent. The pay is awful and they don't offer any kind of yearly raise. For instance, they will bring in someone with less experience and pay them more BUT if you ask for a raise, they will not give it to you. Or they will throw 10 cents at you and act like they did you a favor. And there is no career growth! You will stay where you are because that's what they want, even if you want something more. It's an unwritten rule that you have to put in 45+ hours a week. 30 minute, unpaid lunch breaks. Unless you're a smoker, then you can take unlimited smoke breaks with no one questioning you. Overall toxic environment. No advancement and they don't care if they keep you there or not. You are disposable and they treat you as such. Don't look at this company thinking it's great because they have a great "culture" and they have drone footage videos and a brand new office, because that's a smoke screen and that's not every day life there. Don't waste your time.

Pros

If you work in the corporate office this company is the place to work for.

Cons

If you don't work in the corporate office your life is a living hell. They expect you to live on the road and stay away from your family. I did this for 2 years straight/

Avoid Working for HR

Pros

Nice office. Location is in a low traffic area. A few decent people to work with.

Cons

Avoid working for HR. The Chief People Officer is toxic and leadership has been aware of this for years, but does nothing about it. She is rude and belittles team members publicly. She’s a narcissist and always puts blame on others for the things she does. She never takes responsibility and nobody holds her accountable. She needs to be fired or at the very least, demoted. She is not qualified for the position she holds and she treats certain positions as if they are worthless. She is currently hiring for her fourth EA in three years. Her team has the highest turnover. Wake up ADB! She needs to go. She’s a problem! ADB is owned by private equity and has lost the culture that once existed and attracted good team members. The focus is no longer on the team. It’s about cutting costs. And trying to look good for the next sale. An empty building with no employees will not attract a buyer! ADB changed their operating structure abruptly without taking the time to look at the big picture and has lost many amazing team members, several of which hold high level positions. The CFO, C-Suite Executives, Regional Presidents, Executive Assistants, and other high performing managers have all walked away after many years of service. The position of CEO changed hands in February 2024 which was another big change. The new CEO was put in place during a messy time and is left to clean up mess by herself. As a result, her management style lacks the personal touch and she is hard to work with. I’m guessing due to the stress and pressure she’s currently under. They have lot of problems right now. If you join them, you’re going to need patience while they are working on righting a lot of wrongs. There are several in upper management who make way too much money while the little guy is told there is a raise freeze, no truck allowances, and curb your spending, there are leaders making less money than those they lead or those who hold or have held lower titled positions. A new increase system has been rolled out for pay increases, but too little too late. Some team members haven’t seen a raise in three or more years and if they are lucky, they are only looking at 3%. That’s not even cost of living for those three years. Vendors aren’t being paid while toxic leaders are making over $200K/year and that’s on the low end of what’s being paid out to some of them. Their solution is major lay offs instead of fixing the unbalanced pay. Again, the little guy suffers. They promote the wrong people so they can look good from the outside. I’m all for women in leadership, but they should be the right women. Leaders who talk about other team members, management, and speak negatively about the company on team calls are not good leaders. Gossiping and sharing information that is not ready to go public with non-management team members is unprofessional and has caused problems, but those leaders are not held accountable. Lots of messes have been created by one in particular, but instead of being reprimanded, she was promoted. Management knew about her bad behavior, but did nothing.
