When you're hired to work a schedule but then you're expected to pick up shifts that never existed, respond to texts during your days off about client emergencies, or stay late "just this once" (which is constantly), something's broken. I came in ready to do the job well, honestly, but the boundary between being on the clock and being off-duty just.. doesn't exist here. It's always something— a last-minute cancellation, a VIP client who needs you, coverage shifts posted at 8 PM for the next morning. Your personal time becomes company time without the pay bump, which gets old fast, especially when you're expected to be grateful for the flexibility instead of resentful about being on call constantly. Eventually you just stop having a life outside this place, and that's by design, I think.

Working here is a choice that I still regret. The leadership is awfully arrogant and mean. They want you to take on more work without having a word with you or looking at your caseload. So, most employees ended up being horribly stressed and exhausted. There was little help and zero support from the top. We just leaned on each other but it wasn't enough to protect our sanity.
