Pros

None at all, I lasted one day (was tempted to leave mid shift), which should say enough. Fair play to the people who have managed to make a career out of this but this is essentially slave labour.

Cons

Not a marketing position- door to door sales instead. I was led to believe that this job would be doing roadshows and business expos but not at all! Technically self employed, so no sick pay, holiday or even minimum wage 100% commission based pay- don’t hit your targets, you won’t get paid at all, NOT EVEN MINIMUM WAGE! Minimal training- which you aren’t paid for! Low staff retention Vague adverts Unresponsive in communication Limited information about the company on the internet Long hours (realistically 10am to 8pm, 6 days a week) I spoke with one of the other employees who had just been on a road trip and found out that travel and hotel expenses come out of your own pocket.

We appreciate you taking the time to submit a review. We always encourage honest feedback and are open to constructive criticism. We’re very disappointed by the comments in your review. We operate a rigorous recruitment process, ensuring we are able to thoroughly assess applicants and also provide them with knowledge and insight into what we do, where they could potentially fit in and if we are a good match. We apologise if there was any miscommunication and if you were unaware of what the role would entail. We conduct various forms of marketing campaigns, each dependent on the client and product. We offer highly competitive remuneration packages, allowing the people we work with to enjoy unlimited earning potential. However, we do accept this is not appropriate for everyone. Best of luck for the future.

Pros

I can’t give any positives.

Cons

It’s advertised as marketing but it’s not. It’s door to door sales, very precarious work with no safety measures in place for staff. All travel expenses come out of your pocket. The structure of the business is a mlm or pyramid scheme. They prey on young impressionable employees and exploit them.

We encourage feedback and we appreciate you taking the time to review your experience at AOS. It’s disappointing you’re not able to recall any positives about your time with us. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming and supportive working environment. Our roles are marketing and sales intertwined. We apologise if there was any miscommunication or misunderstanding which resulted in you being unaware of the day to day duties and responsibilities you’d be undertaking. We operate an extensive recruitment process to ensure we provide applicants with a thorough overview of our company and the role on offer. We have a diverse client portfolio, and the way we market for them is entirely dependent on the product and service. Residential campaigns are one very effective method we use. We also conduct event-based campaigns, as well as business-to-business. We are concerned by your comments regarding safety measures in place for staff and we would certainly be keen to speak to you further to get some more detailed feedback. Our business structure is neither an mlm or pyramid scheme. We are a start-up company that provides frontline marketing and sales solutions to a variety of UK businesses. We represent clients in different sectors including entertainment, food, telecommunications, travel and leisure. We are a young company with big goals and we want to bring our team on the journey. We are passionate about providing our people with the tools for success whether that be in our business or another. We wish you all the best for the future.

Pros

Can't think of any tbh

Cons

Not guaranteed a wage they never made it clear that it was commission based after a few weeks, they always talk about progression but they don't understand that not everyone can stay till half 8 in the evening and that's a key way to progression by staying late everyday which your never told beforehand absolutely shocking experience herr wouldn't recommend as it's a big shock on your first day where your knocking people's doors selling WiFi no one told me it was a door to door service absolutely shocking. Also don't expect a good work to life balance because there's no such thing here it's work and that's it very difficult to enjoy your life if you work at 10 and finish at half 8

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We always encourage open and honest feedback. It’s disappointing you were unable to think of any pros about your time at AOS. We apologise if there was any miscommunication regarding remuneration. This should have been fully explained during the recruitment process. It is also outlined in the contract you would have signed. We have a diverse client portfolio and the campaigns we conduct for them are entirely dependent on the products and services on offer, as well as their target demographic. We apologise if there was any miscommunication regarding the role itself. We operate a rigorous interview process, designed to thoroughly assess applicants and their suitability, as well as provide them with knowledge about the role, our company culture, our goals for the future, and where they could fit into that. We wish you all the best for the future.
