Pros
Independent work culture. Allowed me to delegate my responsibilities for the day so long as I met my deadlines. Lots of help and knowledge available from other appraisers. Good support for training and education benefits/mentoring.
Cons
Sometimes writing these reports gets boring. A lot of the same stuff to consider, although appraising commercial real estate offers up more diverse properties than residential.
