There is a very high turnover rate for a reason. The workload can be grueling and the caseload numbers are always higher than what is promised. It is almost impossible not to work after hours, no matter how efficiently you work or how organized you are. There are periods of time where you can be done at 3, and other times you will be up working until midnight on paperwork and notes. The pay to workload ratio just isn't worth it.
It can be a toxic work environment depending on what supervisor you receive. Some are very supportive and train you well and others will not train you properly and then criticize when you are not doing things correctly.
The job is very paperwork heavy so if you can't keep up with documentation and assessments, you will be overwhelmed.
Personally I had to travel A LOT. Some visits were 10 minutes from me and others were 45min from where I lived so some days were nothing but driving it felt like.
