A very interesting job with some great perks such as a decent salary, free gym on site, team trips out.
In the 2 years I worked there I witnessed 2 rounds of promotions, within the both the office and lab staff. There were also other spontaneous promotions to fill roles generated by business expansion.
I was given several opportunities to go on training courses and given lots of support.
When I first started working at AbAb in 2021, some middle management was horrible and toxic and really tried to ruin a lot of relationships within the business, between the lab staff and also across departments. However, senior management listened and these ‘bad apples’ have since been rooted out, which made such a positive difference on the overall culture and environment. The change was obvious overnight, it was like a weight lifted. After this I thoroughly enjoyed coming to work - I can honestly say I was very sad to leave.
Cons
Progression path could be clearer, however it is easy to see that progression does happen regularly as the business keeps expanding.
