I am writing for Academic Minds for more than five years, and my overall experience is positive. I currently work under contract. The pay is excellent but this also depends on how much you work. In my experience, the team is very friendly and flexible. Whenever I need something, like to move a deadline, they help out. What I really like about working at Academic Minds is that you get to learn a lot. So, working there is kind of like attending a years-long multidisciplinary education, but instead of paying for it, you get paid for it.
Cons
I did experience an occasional issue, like getting paid with a 10-day delay. But this and similar issues get resolved easily. They also started doing an annual feedback survey so this helps. Also, the work does not involve any face-to-face contact, but I guess this is a problem of all freelance jobs.
