Cons
The company started 2025 with around 100 employees and, by January 2026, was down to roughly 30 due to layoffs. These layoffs were the direct result of a lack of funding. Accumulus Synergy then created a “for-profit” entity called Accumulus Technologies. This move was rushed, came out of nowhere, and launched without a sales or business development team. Somehow, the CEO and executive team appeared surprised when the company failed to generate profit. The result was sweeping cuts: the entire security team was laid off, along with most of the product team and a significant portion of dev and DevOps. How does a company function safely without a security team? How do they release needed updates without Dev? This was the Titanic, except the Titanic had better leadership at the helm.
