Smart colleagues, top tech, disappointing industry
Pros
- The team at Adatree is next level smart; I was there for three years and never learnt so much at a job. The bar was high and everyone cared about the work. - Genuinely nice people; we were remotely distributed across Australia but every time people got together, we got along well - Excellent work life balance and respect for your personal time and circumstances - Top tech stack with interesting tech challenges
Cons
- CDR is at its early stages and instead of building cool products, often you have to deal with the frustration of data holders being technically limited. A lot of my time at Adatree was opening tickets with individual data holders, arguing CDR rules and interpretation. - Benefits (prior to Fat Zebra acquisition) were limited, but that's part of startup world - As a remote distributed team that did not see each other often, culture takes a hit.
