Toxic management from CEO, meetings and discussion were commonly avoided in lieu of emails that were abusive, CEO needed to be involved on ALL internal and external emails and discussion, which resulted in fear and confusion as projects and ideas were held up, or never brought up, because of the malignant autocracy that was created
Several traits of narcissistic abuse were on display regularly, including:
Negative contrasting (unnecessarily making comparisons to negatively contrast a person's work)
Intentionally making you or a colleague distrust their perceptions or believe that you are the one who is mentally incompetent
Verbal abuse that included belittling, bullying, accusing, blaming, shaming, demanding, ordering, criticizing, sarcasm, and rage. Examples included public ridicule on conference calls, the CEO becoming irritable and hanging up, assignments given on a Friday for Monday delivery without any follow up afterwards on the output of the assignment i.e. a "mission critical" weekend's worth of work was seemingly done for nothing
