Pros

Office space is nice and has lots of shared amenities.

Cons

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I am an experienced executive assistant and have always had positive experiences and excellent working relationships with my executives and their families. However, Aevum is the exact opposite of my previous experiences and the equivalent of workplace hell. The company has an incredibly high rate of turnover.... most employees have lasted between 2-6 months before they get "fired" for not keeping up with the unrealistic expectations of the CEO or run screaming from the building. The CEO expects you to work 80+ hours a week and be available at all times- you may not turn off your phone or be unreachable--- ever. The CEO does not know what he wants and constantly changes expectations and directions without communicating to his team-- he then proceeds to take his anger out on his team when they are unable to read his mind. I consider myself a very strong person who has always loved working... and my experience with Aevum and this CEO had me considering therapy and debating if I was going to be able to work in an environment like this ever again. As the title of this review states, DO NOT WORK HERE!

Pros

There are no pros to working here.

Cons

This is one of the worst places I’ve worked at. Aevum has an extremely toxic work environment and its mainly caused by management. During my first month of employment, I pretty much sat at my desk doing nothing. I tried taking the initiative by creating tasks for myself and asking management if I could get access to certain platforms we were using to start getting familiarized with how the company does things. The CEO informed me he “has a plan” and he’ll give me access to things when he’s ready. This was extremely frustrating as I literally went to work everyday not knowing what to do and feeling helpless. The CEO has extremely high expectations, which is understandable, but he doesn’t communicate these expectations so you’re pretty much expected to fail and get scolded for it. I would get in trouble for the way I responded to messages all of the time, to the point where I was actually nervous to even respond to him because I felt like I was going to get fired. The CEO claims he doesn’t want to be a micromanaging boss, yet he literally micromanages everything and will basically interrogate you on your tasks. You won’t see him for days and then he’ll make an appearance and ask you how you’re doing, what you’re working on, what you’re learning, what you’re going to do next, and so on. If you don’t respond in an intellectual way, be prepared for a 45 min to a 1 hour conversation on how to do your job… literally. I highly suggest reading the other reviews and taking the advice. These reviews are accurate and this company is not worth it.
