Poor organisation and management

You meet and work with lots of interesting service users. It’s good experience.

Cons

Leeds Outreach management lack integrity, courage and dynamism, presiding over a culture of blaming ground level staff for service issues. The service is poorly organised, support staff are demoralised, all of which can be evidenced by the high rate of staff turn over. Overworked and mostly ineffective management has inevitably impacted upon the coordination of the support team and the level of care provided. This is a concerning situation for service users without active advocates whose quality of life is being put at risk.

The people supported at the locations

Cons

Poor management, a bullying culture is supported. Non existent mental health care for staff. Employ anyone with little checks even though it involves care of vulnerable people. Care for service users is low priority.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I apologise that your experience has not been a happy one. As a current employee, if you do not feel you can raise a grievance through our internal channels, you can make an anonymous report via Safecall, which will then be investigated. You can also access support for your mental health via our Employee Assistance Programme. The safeguarding of the people we support is of paramount importance, so no new employee may start until we have received a clear DBS check and satisfactory references. If you have concerns about the performance of new support workers and do not feel able to raise them with your line manager, this too can be reported via Safecall. Kind regards Affinity Trust

Poor employee support for Head Office

Small head office which was nice

Cons

Despite the lovely nature of the company and support offered to those in need, the culture within the head office is lacking. Employees under paid, over worked and expected constantly to work over time. Very little career progression also

Thank you for your positive comments. Many of the people we support do live in rural communities, so roles may require some driving. We are currently looking at creative ways we can make our rural venues easier to get to for people.
