Pros

- Good mission - good CEO - good colleagues - work can be meaningful if you survive

Cons

- Company is political, senior management do not get along so work is difficult - You are lucky if you have a strong boss, otherwise, the strong boss team borrow power and eat you alive - Company got alot of ex military. They like to use army terms so it is hard for woman to understand but they are too excited playing army to notice - Alot of favouritism, senior management hire their friends, ex army hire more ex army. If you not a friend or ex military, promotion is hard. If you are in the friend group, you can get promoted even if you are incompetent, many staff know this but dare not say - HR needs to improve and help the company but many HR staff are clueless, conflict of interest remains uncheck also - No worklife balance so you will be very tired, after 3 years I give up

Pros

Salary Working hours Benefits Location Bonus

Cons

1) Bad culture and senior management - Every division has their own secret agenda instead of working towards its mission to serve the seniors of Singapore 2) Haven for Political drama - You are told to do based on who is requestor. Senior management sucking up to other Division chiefs or because they cannot offended. 3) It kills your passion - Employees lack passion or lose them after soaking in the culture Management created. People with passion and tries to fight the norms are blacklisted. Robots who do what they are told to do are well loved. 4) Not integrated within company - Divisons do not work with each other. Everyone thinks they are the experts 5) Senior Management form their own alliances and talk bad openly about others. 6) Bad Guidance - It is never management’s fault. They are quick to point their finger at the team for all mistakes. My ex DD created roadblocks but was never understanding when the timeline is delayed slightly due to his changes. At the end of the day, it is always our fault. 5) Unfairness - If the boss likes you, you can get away with murder, if not, he makes it obvious that you are his target. Staff on his good side gets alienated from the rest. 6) Bad ethics - A DD talks bad about his people to the rest of the team, trying to sow discord. There are stories of some senior management gossiping about his own team members to othe divisions. 7) Senior management doesn’t share insights. The boss might have an idea of what he wants, but will never tell you. You are left on your own to Guess what he wants. What kind of leader is waiting to pounce on own team for their mistakes?
