I have the opportunity to work with team formed by people with totally different cultural background. It helps to enhance our hard and soft skills Work life balance, they try to respect our timezone whenever it's possible. But sometimes it's impossible to do that if your current team is based in Japan for example Full remote position with monthly meetings that are a suggestion not an obligation Respect our technical knowledge and trust in us AE leadership tries to keep us inside the same team (if this team is working successfully together) even when there are several changes to projects
Cons
1. For Brazilian people that has federal laws for jobs that we call CLT, we miss free healthy insurance, payed vacation, payed sick leave. Nonetheless, the salary is high compared with Brazilian average salary for similar positions, 2. It's necessary to sign up to a lot of different services to receive money from abroad (accountant, local bank, foreign bank intermediate, local federal services) 3. I don't know if this is the same for everybody in the company, but I work as a contractor to another company (not to AE). This has some drawbacks such as separation inside the team between internal versus contractor employees. Our leadership tries to decrease this gap, however sometimes it's hard to overcome some situations. For example, regarded with prod deploys, most of this is made only by internal people of the company we're the contractors.
