This casual / part-time role is designed for students who want to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy industry while completing their university studies.

Aussie Hybrid Solar (AHS) is the market-facing solar and battery installation service brand operated by JT Solar Technology, a Sydney-based renewable energy technology company established in 2009.

AHS delivers solar system installation, battery storage, smart energy applications, system design, commissioning and after-sales support across residential, strata, apartment, commercial and industrial projects.

We are currently looking for a Student Energy Engineering Assistant to support solar, battery storage, EV charging and smart energy project work.

About the Role

This role is ideal for current university students studying Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, Power Systems, Electric Vehicles or related disciplines.

You will assist with technical documentation, project records, equipment information and coordination across clean energy projects.

This is a practical support role, suitable for students who are organised, detail-oriented and interested in gaining real-world exposure to solar, battery storage, EV charging and smart energy systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with solar, battery storage and EV charging project documentation
• Support technical records, equipment information and project files
• Help prepare basic system information, product data and reporting materials
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, suppliers and internal project teams
• Assist with testing data, installation records and commissioning documentation
• Support research and project work related to battery, solar and smart energy applications
• Gain exposure to real-world renewable energy and energy storage projects

Who We Are Looking For

To be eligible, you must be a current university student.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Currently enrolled in a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, Power Systems, Electric Vehicles or a related field
• Available for casual or part-time work while studying
• Interested in solar, batteries, EV charging and smart energy systems
• Organised, detail-oriented and willing to learn
• Comfortable working with technical information and project documentation
• Able to communicate with both technical and non-technical team members

Experience with AutoCAD, electrical design tools, data analysis or technical reporting is a plus, but not essential.
