Extremely poorly organised with people that dislike change
Pros
- Flexible - Slow Paced - Work-life balance
Cons
- The CDO vision of how digital should be organised is incoherent, inefficient, and non-agile. Yet she praises how agile we are. It's the worst I have seen/heard. - Large disconnect between data and engineering, we don't even share engineering text channels and rarely communicate. - Incompetent product organisation + owners, people who are PM/PO have never been proper PM/POs. Some care more about protecting their reputation in the org than doing their actual job. Some have no clue what their role means and have never worked with tickets and backlogs. - Data Scientists are expected to act as Full Stack Developers by some PO(s) [Some likely don't even know the difference and just see everyone as "developers" (quite common)] - People dislike most forms of change. - 15 PM/POs on a total engineering+data force of 30 people on 100 different initiatives and thus 100+ epics. - CDO announced on an All Hands that we would measure productivity with a "tickets closed KPI", the dumbest I've heard.
