Soul-Crushing Workplace with Zero Freedom and Endless Micromanagement
Pros
Fixed office timings (8:50 AM to 4:40 PM), which they weirdly boast about as “work-life balance.” That’s honestly the only so-called ‘structure’ here.
Cons
No empathy. No flexibility : WFH is flat-out not allowed — not even during heavy rains or emergencies. You’re expected to show up, no matter what. Treated like school kids, not professionals: You get fixed break times (11:00–11:30 AM and 1:00–2:00 PM) and zero control over your own schedule. It’s infantilizing. Toxic culture disguised as “discipline”: They glorify their outdated rules and rigid timings in the name of culture and “balance,” but in reality, they’re just obsessed with control. Micromanagement to the extreme: In review meetings, instead of discussing your actual work, they’ll comment that “you’re not focused.” Ask them to define what “not focused” means and they have no real answer — because it’s not about performance, it’s about control. They track how many times you arrived after 8:50 AM — yes, they literally maintain an Excel sheet for this nonsense. Even on WFH Fridays, if your Slack dot isn’t green for some time, they’ll bring it up in your review. That’s the level of surveillance they operate on. No career growth: You’ll be stuck in the same role forever. No learning opportunities, no roadmap, no recognition — unless you blindly obey. Spineless, incompetent management: Most managers are where they are just because they’ve been around since the beginning. They lack leadership, vision, and the basic courage to stand up for their team. Favouritism is rampant: Speak up and you're labelled as negative. Stay quiet, follow the herd, and you’ll be appreciated — even if you contribute nothing.
