Pros

Ability to occasionally work remotely Some of the team are Generally very welcoming The company is growing exponentially The idea behind the teams philosophy is great when actioned Great location Very capable people should they be supported and educated in the correct way

Cons

Poor Man Management In my time the managers did not spend the required time supporting staff members and instead overloaded employees with work that often is higher than their pay grade. The management would never delay signing a new client when already fully aware of capacity levels, instead they time and again expect employees to work around the clock, often 12 hour days in order to get the work done. This impacts morale, client experience and sometimes quality of the work. I personally found very little direction or ability to listen to new ideas/ways of working unless you were a well established team member The want to get product enhancements with customers also plays detriment to the whole experience. Great ideas turn out to be unfinished pieces of work once more putting extra strain on workers and customers, with little to no management communication to clients. Instead CSMs would take the brunt And invest more time on workarounds. Lastly, I was not made to feel welcome and management even left me out at times during the first three months in particular. Someone should always be made to feel welcome at the very least. Overall, there are worse places to be and I truly hope there are vast improvements but I could not recommend this place of work.

AlayaCare Response

Sadly I believe that much of this criticism is fair and are opportunities for us to improve. At the rate we grew in Australia, there were just not enough folks on the team experienced in the AlayaCare platform to effectively onboard the volume of new people we had join last year. I am hopeful that will not be the case going forward as the depth of team experience grows and we move from hypergrowth to a more consistent growth mode. We are improving our ability to do capacity planning for projects, with some good lessons and larger team size coming from our new Procura colleagues. All team members should feel welcome and animated by our purpose as an organization. - Adrian

Narcissistic mentality. Save your mind, body and soul

Pros

None to convey . Stay away.

Cons

One of the most significant issues is that the management team has consistently failed to address the bullying mentality of manager who has only "managed" to evade accountability by putting on a friendly facade with higher-ups, despite their detrimental behavior towards staff. Although HR assured that they would investigate the situation, no real action was taken, and the problematic manager remains in their position. The company also suffers from serious structural issues. They offer overpriced products with a very limited customer base, which puts immense pressure on the sales team. The lack of a clear structure only exacerbates this pressure, leading to high levels of burnout among employees. Many talented individuals have left the organization because of this unsustainable environment. Moreover, the work environment is marked by a severe lack of professionalism. Managers fail to communicate effectively or support their teams, which contributes to a toxic atmosphere that is difficult for employees to endure. The positive reviews and caring responses you might see on Glassdoor are misleading. They do not reflect the actual work environment here. The job descriptions on LinkedIn are designed to look appealing, but the reality is quite different. Perks are minimal, there are no share options, and compensation is significantly below the market average. During the interview process, HR personnel may promise competitive pay, but once hired, the manager uses threats and manipulation to suppress these promises, taking advantage of candidates' vulnerable positions. Below-average compensation. Managers , directors etc lack foresight or ability to forecast. Meetings are about irrelevant topics. High employee turnover rate.
