Environmental division struggles with many internal disconnects.
Pros
Interesting market, fierce competition, and really worthwhile challenge to any good sales person. Employees willing to help their neighbors, and a rich entrepreneurial history.
Cons
Inside team is understaffed, and stretched between sales, customer service, and reactive projects from other departments. Office environment is good towards each other, but toxic towards the process and current band-aid practices. There is little to no real support for new hires from management. Work is not distributed evenly or fairly amongst inside team. This is a case where you can be given more responsibilities, based on success, but never be recognized/compensated for it. My impression was that they wanted business development people on their inside team, but once in the role, found it to be customer service dominated. There were no metrics in either case to determine what "good" looked like.
