Great job if you like to party and are related to someone within the company...
Pros
I was recruited by offer of a great salary, subsistence, and a two-year contract. I had performed a more extensive roll with a larger company, and knew I would be able to acclimate with little training. I was thrilled at the compensation package, and didn't even mind living in a hotel room 3 nights a week.
Cons
I made it clear that there was one area I needed to learn, as it was not part of the job I had performed at my previous company. I was never given instruction with this task, I was never offered any kind of assistance with learning. I went above and beyond to be helpful and worked a lot on my own time to assist my co-worker, yet I was never included in any team-building events. I was at least 20 years older than the oldest employee there, and perhaps that was why I was not treated as part of the team. And the fact that I was not a partier. I still did all I could to fit in. I was reviewed at 90 days and the only issue was that I was not performing the EXACT thing I had pointed out in advance of hiring, and had asked for assistance with. I was also told that I asked too many questions about that exact duty. I acknowledged that I would improve, and asked to be able to have a training class for this duty. No results. Two weeks from the day of my review, I was fired. Reason: It's just not a good fit. A week later, I was informed that one of the management's daughter's was given the position because her job had been completed and she "needed a place to go."
