Pros

Working at Alirity has been a truly rewarding experience. The company’s culture stands out as one of its greatest strengths — collaborative, innovative, and people-focused. From day one, I felt welcomed and valued, with a strong sense of belonging across teams and levels. Management at Alirity is not only approachable but genuinely invested in the personal and professional growth of their people. There’s a clear commitment to supporting team members, whether through mentoring, regular feedback, or providing opportunities that align with individual career goals. The leadership team actively listens and encourages fresh ideas, creating a psychologically safe environment where people are empowered to take initiative and drive impact. One of the most exciting aspects of being at Alirity is our work in AI and emerging technologies. The projects are forward-thinking and strategically important to our clients, offering great opportunities to stay ahead of the curve while solving real-world challenges. The company fosters a mindset of continuous learning, and there’s a shared excitement about the possibilities AI brings to our consulting toolkit. If you’re looking for a workplace where you can grow, make a difference, and be part of a future-facing team, Alirity is a fantastic place to be.

Cons

Given Alirity’s boutique nature, the stakeholder network is naturally smaller compared to larger consultancies, which may limit exposure in some cases. Additionally, while remote work brings flexibility, it can sometimes feel a bit isolating — especially for those who thrive on daily in-person collaboration. That said, the team does make consistent efforts to stay connected through regular check-ins and team events.

Pros

I hesitate to use the word 'integrity' because it's overused in the corporate world to the point of meaninglessness. However, in all my years working with startups and larger firms, I've never encountered a business so committed to using its values and 'Pillars' as a framework for all decision-making. We've invested in operational improvement this year as well as in People Experience. Both of these are already paying dividends in terms of engagement and overall atmosphere. Healthy debate is encouraged from the bottom up. What's surprised me the most is how willing people are, at all levels, to change their point of view when presented with new or better information. It's a rare quality and it's somehow found here at a high concentration - so you can have confidence in day-to-day and higher-level decision-making. There's a learner's mindset throughout the business. The leadership are constantly learning and sharing their learnings, whether it's technical and 'softer' skills. We have a generous development allowance, plus lunch & learns, structured workshops, and other one-off sessions that anyone can initiate if it will add value. Everyone has the opportunity here to do genuinely exciting work, learn new skills, and have a lot of fun.

Cons

We could all do better at asking for, giving, and receiving feedback. It can take a while to get internal projects off the ground due to the leanness of our team.
