Great potential, destroyed by CEO and current upper management

Pros

Awesome coworkers, relatively fun work when the CEO and other upper management loosens the grip around your neck for a second.

Cons

CEO... that's really all I have to say. If you notice, many of the "good reviews" are written in October of last year after he saw one bad review and made half the team flood this with fake good things written about Alley. Please don't believe those. They are made up and forced. He's controlling, incompetent, and borderline verbally abusive. The sooner everyone realizes this and forces him out, the sooner Alley can thrive. Also, no realistic upward mobility, underpaid, overworked, and absolutely no transparency. Benefits are lackluster and they penny pinch, so to speak, when you want time off.

CEO is the WORST

Pros

Co-workers are the best. You even become friends with the clients. A lot of small perks like lunch on Friday, cab rides home when it's late, dinner when it's late, etc. In general a fun place to work when upper management isn't killing your soul.

Cons

The CEO is unfortunately one of the worst people I've ever had the misfortune of working under. He doesn't really do anything and doesn't know what anyone does. He's also very childish, insecure, and unstable so likes to take that out on you whenever he feels like it and will gladly disrespect you in front of clients. Also is prone to saying making sexist and racist comments under the guise of a "joke". Definitely made working there extremely uncomfortable. Unless he considers you attractive, he's going to either ignore you or treat you terribly.

Serious Disappointment

Pros

The members and some of my previous co-workers contributed to Alley being great. Most importantly, the opportunity to meet new people like in any other company.

Cons

There was a lot of favoritism in this company. Along with this there was secrecy, racism especially from the CEO, unfair treatment, disrespect from management, unfair wages, the list continues. I worked here long enough to know that the company lacked direction. Even members of the space began distancing themselves from Alley and seeing it more as a place they were renting. The CEO had favoritism with employees but most importantly with members which you would see when it comes to pricing. Along with an inappropriate relationship he had with one of his employees. Quite frankly, he shouldn’t even be the CEO. If Nsi we’re still around this place wouldn’t be a total mess and employees wouldn’t be so unhappy. You don’t want to work in a place where there’s a lack of transparency. It’s like being sold a dream that doesn’t exist. I’ve seen the CEO scream at his employees and call them names, not only was it disrespectful but it was embarrassing to work for someone who could care less about others. His primary focus was and will always be himself. He barely even speaks to all of his employees let alone know what they do. He’s sneaky, fake and plays dirty tricks to get to the top. He’s not the kind of CEO you will look at as a role model. I write all of this because I want others to work in a place they’ll be able to grow and learn. Alley will only hinder your chances of that. And if you’re in it for the money, don’t bother because they will only underpay you and tell you they don’t have enough in their budget to offer you more but that’s a HUGE lie.
