Pros

1. The flexibility in creating your own schedule/requesting time off. 2. The office culture is relaxed and supportive. 3. The team is full of positive and friendly people. 4. A small team (that is growing quickly!) We're a tight-knit group, I consider them friends. Also gives you the ability to work closely with the President of the company. 5. The President is down to earth, and genuinely cares for her employees' success in the company (both personally and professionally). She also does a fantastic job at showing her gratitude for each employee, and our successes. 6. Staff events/work perks are incomparable to other companies. From a cruise to Ensenada, a trampoline park or day on the harbor, they're never boring! 7. Room for growth, your voice is heard here. Where do you see yourself? You'll get the support you need to get there. 8. Open-door policy. The President's office door is open 99.9% of the time. She is open to conversations about work, your personal life, your successes and how to improve your failures. She also takes into consideration your input regarding the direction of the company and anything she/the team can do to improve. 9. Raises can come quickly, if you earn it.

Cons

1. Work can be dry. 2. Contractors are typically not the nicest. 3. Growing quickly, going more corporate.

Dear Not Worth It: Thank you for taking the time to express your opinion. We promote an open-door policy and have always encouraged constructive criticism, as it will be the only way we grow. It is for the very reason that we hold “One on One” meetings with each member of the team at the 90-day, 6-month, 1-year and every six months, after that to simply ask: How you are doing?, What you like?, What you don’t like?, What you would like to see happen?, If there is anything that management can do to make your job better, easier or recommendations for our growth, success and overall work environment. We pride ourselves on involvement and if you are a current employee, as you claim to be, you would know that we have team meetings, collaboration group meetings, special groups (motivation and morale, community development, corporate responsibility, etc.) that do not include management to build upon and create ideas for the company and teams. We are pleased to hear that you enjoy the free food and the camaraderie found with the team and how everyone interacts together. Our new office space was designed with our team in mind, to give them the space and features to be able to spread out, let off some steam and have fun just as much as it is set up to provide a productive working environment to ensure the longevity and success of the company to be able to continue providing these perks and more that are planned (and not always revealed to the staff). That being said, we would like to address the “Cons” presented. 1. Management gossips- Gossiping is something that has never been tolerated by this management. It may be presumptuous to conclude that conversations that are had behind the manager’s doors are of a gossip nature rather than conducting business or not for the public’s knowledge. 2. Inconsistent standards- Alliant Consulting has grown exponentially in the past two years and it has been one of the first topics discussed during the interviewing stage, training and beyond that, we are growing, bringing on new systems to help streamline processes, develop new methods, programs and more. We never claimed to have it down and quite the opposite said that we were growing and wanted to accommodate everyone to the best of our abilities and that included how we grew. If there is anything that you felt that was inconsistent then that would be something we would invite you to tell us about. The one thing that we will never compromise on is quality and integrity. 3. Very low pay – Once again, one of the very first topics discussed at the first informational interview. What we start at and why? However, no one has remained at that level past two weeks and has experienced pay increases multiple times per year vs. what is typical of other companies of a one-time per year increase at an annual review. The food may be free but we all work hard to get what we want and this includes everyone across the company. We are happy to say that 5 new internal senior-level positions were created this past year and overall pay rates have increased on an average of $3.00 per person in the past six months. We want to have a fun and positive environment to work in and it comes with hard work, dedication, integrity, grit and the perseverance to succeed. Nothing worthwhile comes easy but we know that we have a team of amazing people who come to work each and every day to provide the best service to our clients, to protect the workers that go out and help our communities grow; protect the companies that hire these workers, providing them with keys to success; protect the awarding agencies who ensure we have public works projects to continually improve our communities. So, Not Worth It, we know that you are not a current employee because we can look at each person that walks through our front door each day and see the integrity, quality, reliability and fairness in each and every one of them. We know that no one here would hide behind an anonymous review but would come to see us and know that we are there for them as we know they are there for each other. We are a family that supports each other. Not Worth It, we do hope you find success in what you seek and wish you the best. If what we stand for and hope to achieve as a company, community and family is not enough, then we wish you farewell.

Labor compliance is hard! But it was a great challenge with lots of team support.
