Pros

I didn't know it was possible to treat people as badly as the McDowell's do. Both Colin and his daughter Michelle are nasty evil bullies who treat their staff like absolute crap with screaming threatening name calling abuse daily. The minimum rostered work week is 45 hours and it's frowned upon to do just that. Lunch breaks are discouraged. Sick leave is considered theft and they WILL (and often have) send a senior manager to YOUR HOME and front door if you have called in sick - That is if you have refused to submit to their bullying when you called in sick - where they told you how completely unacceptable it is to take sick leave. There is ZERO flexibility and you are not allowed to go to any medical or emergency appointments if they fall between the hours of 7:30am to 6:00pm. You'd better not have children because you'll never be able to leave work for anything to do for them - If they're sick you'd better have someone else to take care of them because if you work at Allied you won't be allowed to leave work. Annual leave requests are mostly denied - However they do reserve the right to kick you out on leave with only a few days notice (so you have NO chance of arranging something with your families). WARNING to anyone who might have the misfortune of considering working here .... Your salary INCLUDES super and all allowances (car allowance for example) - However they don't make that clear up front so expect your pay to significantly less than you expected it to be. If you're really lucky - they'll have you on an "Attendance Bonus" which is also written into your salary $$ - This means if you do call in sick they dock you $50 - $100 per day that you are off sick. The screaming and abuse from the McDowell's is almost daily with sickeningly high staff turnover because the abuse wears people down to nothing. The pressure to continually do more and more and more is relentless. Don't ever expect to be able to speak up about the way you are treated though because the McDowell's won't hear it - They can do no wrong as far as they are concerned - regardless of how bizarrely they behave or how violently mean they are.

Cons

It's a job that sometimes pays a wage - Although a very very small one.

Pros

Good salary offer in the beginning. But this won't last long.

Cons

The owner. His daughter. The management team. All deceiving. Changing their mind every second. And no one want to do what's right. Only what the boys wants.
