Would be Great if we got Raises.

Pros

Remote, Independent, Flexible hours, once you understand the styling system work is less complicated.

Cons

Raises don't exist (biggest con), no PTO, benefits are very standard, tech issues, a lot of the time we are left to figure things out on our own with no guidance. No actual room for growth (pay wise). No discounts at participating retailers.

Supportive team, massive career growth

Pros

The team is amazing! Everyone is super supportive, cares deeply about the business, and is a team player. Because the team is still small, everyone is able to wear a ton of hats and make a huge impact. I also love working for a female founder/CEO, who is whip smart and has a clear vision for the business. In the four short months I've been with Allume, I've experienced massive career growth and been able to make a positive impact on the business along the way.

Cons

Like any start-up of this stage, Allume can be a bit reactive at times. The company isn't without the occasional fire-drill.

Pros

The only pro of working at allume was that I had the ability to work from the comfort of my home.

Cons

There were so many downsides to working at this company. Clients had the ability to reach out to me any time of the day or night, and I was expected to respond. There was no consideration for other clients I was working on, or whether or not I wasn’t scheduled to be working. It was mentally exhausting. Plus, my manager had an unfortunate mentality of “if you have the ability to sit around, you have the ability to work”. I tried to take some time off of work because I had a close family member in the hospital, and my manager told me it was unacceptable to call out of work for that. I was miserable for the five short months I worked here. Working up to 90 hours a week was not worth it.
