Good remote flexibility, but workload and role expectations need improvement
Pros
The ability to work remotely was a major benefit, and the schedule was generally manageable. The company also had a small-team environment, which can be a positive for someone who enjoys being involved in different areas of the business.
Cons
The company offered only two days of PTO, which felt very limited. Because the team was small, there were days when additional responsibilities were added to an already full workload, with the expectation that the new tasks would be completed alongside existing priorities. Roles and responsibilities were not always clearly defined, and leadership could be disorganized at times. There were also instances where management responsibilities were passed down without enough support or consideration for the existing workload. Although my position was not primarily a sales role, I was also expected to generate sales. The commission structure and incentives were not competitive enough to make the additional sales responsibilities feel worthwhile.
